FOREIGN STUDENT CONSIDERATIONS
A foreign student attending the PATTERSON AVIATION ACADEMY to take
any of the vocational flight
training courses is required to obtain a student visa. The school has
the INS authority to issue the student an application (INS Form I-20M-N)
for an M-1 Student Visa immediately after the student provides the school
with an affidavit of financial resources which indicates the student has
personal or family funds in sufficient amount to cover the cost of training
and living while in the U.S.
The school will provide the student with an estimate of cost of living
expenses in addition to the anticipated cost of training. Assistance is
given in finding living accommodations during your stay. In the event the
student does not complete training prior to the expiration of his/her Student
Visa, the school can make application for an extension of the visa expiration
date. Assistance is also given in converting foreign pilot licenses to
their U.S. equivalents.
